Haryana CM Honours 24 Commonwealth Games 2026 Medal Winners with ₹13.97 Crore Cash Awards

Panchkula, August 26, 2026; Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini felicitated the state’s Commonwealth Games-2026 medal winners at a ceremony in Panchkula, recognising their performances at the Glasgow Games.

The Chief Minister congratulated Haryana’s athletes who contributed to India’s medal tally and praised all the players who represented the country at the international sporting event. During the programme, 24 athletes were presented cash awards amounting to a total of ₹13 crore 97.50 lakh in recognition of their achievements.

Addressing the gathering, Saini said the government’s responsibility towards sportspersons extends beyond supporting them during competitions. He stressed that athletes should be able to concentrate on representing the nation without being burdened by concerns about their careers after retirement from competitive sport.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s commitment to providing athletes with financial assistance, recognition, security and opportunities for a stable future. He said Haryana’s sports policies are aimed at creating an environment in which talented players can pursue excellence at the national and international levels.

Saini also encouraged the medal winners to set their sights on bigger sporting milestones. He expressed confidence that Haryana’s athletes would continue their strong performances and play a key role in bringing further glory to India at future Olympic Games.

The felicitation programme was organised to acknowledge the contribution of Haryana’s sportspersons and encourage the next generation of athletes to pursue international success.
