Gurugram, October 7- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah launched the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Jyoti Yatra’ in Gurugram on Wednesday under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Handing over the yatra torch to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Union Home Minister conveyed the message of taking the state forward on the path of development and ensuring active participation in building a Viksit Bharat.

At the state-level function organised in Gurugram, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, public representatives and thousands of youth listened live to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address. Addressing the nation on the completion of 25 years of his public life, the Prime Minister called for people’s participation in realising the resolve of a Viksit Bharat with dedication to service, good governance and nation-building.
Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam, BJP state president Dr. Archana Gupta, former Union Minister Smriti Irani, BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr. Sudha Yadav, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Pataudi MLA Sh. Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma and other dignitaries were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah said the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life marks a golden and transformative chapter in the history of Indian democracy. He said that over these 25 years, Modi had continuously served the country and crores of citizens as both Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
Amit Shah said October 7 holds special significance in the history of Indian democracy. He said a person born into a poor family had, through his ability and talent and by taking crores of people along, created a record of leading the country for 25 years as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. These 25 years of Narendra Modi’s public life, he said, would be written in golden letters in history.

The Union Home Minister said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the country had achieved several significant milestones over the past 25 years. He referred to achievements including poverty alleviation, a secure India, abrogation of Article 370, elimination of Naxalism, construction of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and taking the country’s infrastructure to new heights. He said efforts towards the welfare of the poor had helped achieve significant success in bringing 25 crore people out of poverty.
Amit Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years had been 25 years of welfare of the poor, India’s pride and the nation’s progress. To commemorate these 25 years of service and achievements, the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ has been organised. He said the objective of the yatra was to commemorate, through public participation, the country’s development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of service and dedication. He called upon the youth to actively contribute to nation-building and to realising the resolve of a Viksit Bharat.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini walked through the prominent routes of Gurugram and installed the yatra torch near Signature Tower. He then handed the torch to the youth and called for their active participation in building a Viksit Bharat. The yatra began with a Viksit Bharat Sabha, in which thousands of youth participated enthusiastically.
Delivering the message of realising the resolve of a Viksit Bharat, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the development of the country and the state would be meaningful only when better facilities reach every person, and people’s lives become happy, prosperous and free from problems.
