Faridabad, March 9: A Cervical Cancer Vaccination Camp was successfully organized at Sai Dham, where 230 students aged 9 to 21 years from Shirdi Sai Baba School received the cervical cancer vaccine. This initiative was conducted under the aegis of the Rotary Club of Delhi South, Rotary Club of Faridabad N.I.T, and Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society, with the support of Schott Poonawalla Private Limited.
The vaccination drive was administered by expert medical teams from BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, Accord Super Speciality Hospital, and TRS, ensuring proper care and guidance for each student receiving the vaccine. The objective of this initiative was to protect young students from Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a leading cause of cervical cancer, and to spread awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare.
Dr. Motilal Gupta, Founder and President of Sai Dham, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the teams from Sai Dham, Rotary Club, and healthcare professionals for their dedicated efforts in organizing this important health initiative. He emphasized that, while initially, the focus was on vaccinating female students, the vaccination drive has now been extended to male students, recognizing the broader health benefits. The first dose for male students was successfully administered during this camp.
Dr. Gupta commended the Rotary Club’s continued commitment to health awareness and their active role in the fight against cervical cancer. He further encouraged the community to take proactive steps toward vaccination and preventive healthcare, ensuring a healthier future for the younger generation.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and key officials from the Rotary Club of Delhi South and Rotary Club of Faridabad N.I.T, including Virendra Mehta, Rajan Gaira, Vandana Bhalla, along with trustees, advisory board members of Sai Dham, and enthusiastic participation from parents.
The successful execution of this vaccination drive marks a significant milestone in promoting public health and raising awareness about cervical cancer prevention. The event concluded on a positive note, with organizers reaffirming their commitment to conducting more such health initiatives in the future to ensure the well-being of the community.
