Faridabad, March 10: Extensive security arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and transparent counting process for the Faridabad Municipal Corporation elections. The counting of votes will take place on March 12, with stringent security measures in place across all nine designated counting centers.

Police Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta stated that Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) have been appointed as supervisory officers at each counting center. To support them, two Station House Officers (SHOs) and police forces from their respective areas have been deployed to maintain security and order.

The vote counting will commence at 8 AM at the following locations:

  • Community Center, SGM Nagar, Faridabad
  • Community Center, Sector-28, Faridabad
  • Government Women’s College, Sector-16A, Faridabad
  • Government Women’s College, Sector-16A, Faridabad (II)

A two-tier security system has been implemented to ensure foolproof security at all centers. The outer security perimeter will be managed by the district police force, while the inner security will be handled by the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB). Around 800 police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order, with a 100-meter restricted perimeter around each counting center to prevent unauthorized entry.

To ensure the integrity of the election process, strict prohibitions have been enforced inside the counting centers. Prohibited items include electronic devices such as mobile phones and pagers, smoking items including cigarettes and lighters, sharp objects like blades and knives, inflammable substances, and any kind of weapons.

Additionally, crime branch teams will remain on high alert, and two reserve police companies will be on standby. Special monitoring of social media platforms will also be conducted to prevent misinformation and the spread of rumors.

With these security measures in place, authorities are committed to ensuring a peaceful and orderly vote-counting process, facilitating a fair and transparent election result for the Faridabad Municipal Corporation elections.
