Vinai Kumar Saxena Calls on Road Transport Minister Amid Focus on Infrastructure Growth in Union Territory

New Delhi, April 21, 2026: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Union Territory, Vinai Kumar Saxena, met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways  Nitin Gadkari in the national capital on Monday. The meeting focused on key development matters related to infrastructure, connectivity, and ongoing projects in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

During the interaction, both leaders discussed ways to further strengthen road networks and improve connectivity in the strategically important and geographically challenging region. The conversation is believed to have also covered ongoing and future infrastructure initiatives aimed at boosting accessibility and regional development in Ladakh.

Vinai Kumar Saxena, who is serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, has been actively engaging with central ministries to expedite development works in the Union Territory. On the other hand, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has been overseeing several major highway and infrastructure projects across the country, including in remote and high-altitude regions.

The meeting highlights continued coordination between the Union Territory administration and the Central Government to accelerate infrastructure development and improve connectivity in Ladakh.
