“Delhi will now be known for its work, not just its name,” says CM Rekha Gupta

100 Days of Trust and 11 Years of Modi Government: Sankalp se Sidhi, CM Rekha Gupta Addresses Public Gathering in Janakpuri Delhi; said- Hum Naam Ki Nahi, Kaam ki Sarkar Hai

New Delhi, 8 June 2025– Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today attended a grand public gathering in the Janakpuri Assembly constituency as the Chief Guest under the “100 Days of Trust” campaign, commemorating “11 Years of the Modi Government: Sankalp se Sidhi.” The event was led by Janakpuri MLA and Delhi Cabinet Minister  Ashish Sood, with local MP Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat also present on the occasion. Residents of the area participated in large numbers, reaffirming their commitment to the vision of a developed Delhi in partnership with the government.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that in the last 100 days, her government has not just made promises but delivered results on the ground. She stated that this is part of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sankalp se siddhi,” and the Delhi Government is wholeheartedly working with the same spirit to serve the people.
Praising MLA Shri Ashish Sood, the Chief Minister said he dedicates nearly 18 hours a day to public service. She appealed to the public to continue supporting their elected representatives, emphasizing that now the central, state, and municipal governments are working together in Delhi. “The days of passing blame — ‘this is not my responsibility’ — are gone. Now, the work is everyone’s responsibility,” she said, taking a dig at previous governments for spending more on publicity and doing little on the ground.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the key achievements of the Delhi Government in the last 100 days and criticized the governance model of the previous regimes. She said her government is a government of work, not of names, and it believes in service, not showmanship.
She shared important policy measures and government priorities, such as:
• Launching 1,000 water sprinklers to control pollution,
• Removing 20 lakh metric tonnes of sludge from drains flowing into the Yamuna,
• Dismissing gimmicks like the odd-even scheme as publicity stunts, and
• Emphasizing that real, long-term solutions are now being implemented.

She announced that anti-smog guns have been installed on the rooftops of all high-rise buildings in Delhi, and cloud seeding (artificial rainfall) will soon begin for the first time in the capital.
The CM further emphasized that instead of announcing flashy mega-projects, her government has prioritized basic amenities such as drains, sewage, pothole-free roads, and drinking water—because these are the real needs of the people.

Highlighting a major health initiative, the Chief Minister said that in the very first Cabinet meeting, the government decided to implement a scheme under Ayushman Bharat, providing free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for eligible beneficiaries. For slum redevelopment, a separate budget of ₹700 crores has been allocated for infrastructure such as drains, toilets, bathing areas, and paving works. She assured residents that until they are given permanent housing, no slum will be removed and all basic amenities will be made available where they currently reside.

Lashing out at the previous governments, she said they spent crores on advertisements but did nothing on the ground, while the present government follows the mantra of “seva (service), not mewa (rewards).” Praising MLA Ashish Sood, she called him a dedicated public servant, and said, “We must bring Janakpuri to the top among Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies.”
The Chief Minister concluded by saying that under her team’s hard work and PM Modi’s leadership, Delhi will transform, grow, and take a leading role in the nation’s development. “This is not a government of ministers or chief ministers—it is a government of the people of Delhi, and every decision we make reflects that commitment,” she affirmed.
Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Shri Ashish Sood said that today, Janakpuri is celebrating both 11 years of resolve turning into realisation and 100 days of trust. “This is not just a celebration of achievements but a renewed commitment to our future,” he said. He added that the long-pending basic needs of Delhi’s citizens—clean water, pothole-free roads, proper sewer systems, and reliable healthcare—are now turning into reality in Janakpuri and across Delhi.

“Our government didn’t just make announcements—we prioritised, planned, allocated budget, and started work,” he said, noting that under CM Rekha Gupta’s leadership, the Delhi Government has become a true symbol of service.
