Trump Accuses Xi of “Conspiring Against” US as Putin, Kim Attend China’s Victory Parade

Washington, DC [US], September 3: US President Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on Chinese President Xi Jinping, accusing him of “conspiring against” the United States after Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un joined Xi at China’s largest-ever military parade in Beijing.

The parade, held on Wednesday, marked the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II. China commemorates the day as its victory over Japanese forces in 1945.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America.”

Trump further questioned whether Xi would acknowledge the sacrifices made by American soldiers during World War II. “Many Americans died in China’s quest for victory and glory. I hope they are rightfully honoured and remembered for their bravery and sacrifice,” he said.

China showcased advanced military capabilities during the parade, including its HQ-9C missile systems. Notably, a version of the HQ-9 has been acquired by Pakistan for its defence network, though reports suggest it failed to intercept Indian missiles during recent operations.

Delivering a keynote speech, Xi Jinping declared China’s rejuvenation “unstoppable” and reaffirmed Beijing’s path of peaceful development. He called for building a “community with a shared future for humanity” while urging the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to evolve into a world-class force capable of safeguarding national sovereignty and contributing to global peace.

“Humanity is again faced with a choice of peace or war, dialogue or confrontation. The Chinese people will stand firmly on the right side of history,” Xi said, adding that nations must treat each other as equals to prevent future conflicts.

The presence of Putin and Kim alongside Xi underscored the strengthening ties among Beijing, Moscow, and Pyongyang at a time of escalating global tensions.
