Varanasi, April 29, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared that he felt deeply blessed after offering prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, describing the visit as a moment of spiritual satisfaction and divine grace.

After performing rituals at the sacred shrine, the Prime Minister said he was fortunate to have the opportunity for darshan at Baba Vishwanath and prayed for happiness, prosperity and good health for all citizens across the country. He also extended his prayers to Lord Shiva for collective well being and national harmony.

During the visit, he offered prayers at multiple sacred points within the temple complex, including devotion to Goddess Annapurna and the River Ganga, expressing that the experience brought him a sense of peace and positive energy.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most prominent Hindu pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Shiva, holds deep religious significance and attracts millions of devotees each year.
Officials noted that the Prime Minister’s visit formed part of his engagement in Varanasi, where he also participated in developmental and public programs alongside religious observances.
