New Delhi : SPECIAL PROGRAMME FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
Marking the occasion, special programmes dedicated to senior citizens were organized in all police districts of Delhi. The initiative included cybercrime awareness sessions, health check-up facilities, Senior Citizen Registration Camp, birthday celebrations for senior citizens whose birthdays fell on 18.02.2026. Awareness lectures on cybercrime prevention were delivered to enhance digital safety. The gathering provided a meaningful platform for sharing experiences and strengthening trust between police personnel and senior citizens, reflecting commitment to care, respect, and community engagement. A traditional बड़ा खाना was also organized in their honour.

PROGRAMME FOR RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS
Dedicated programmes were also organized for retired police personnel. The event included interactive sessions, an awareness lecture on cybercrime prevention, and the presentation of mementos in recognition of their valuable services to the department. Retired officers shared their valuable experiences and suggestions on policing. Best wishes were extended for their continued health and well-being. The programme concluded with a traditional बड़ा खाना, further fostering camaraderie and mutual respect between serving and retired personnel.

OTHER ACTIVITIES ACROSS DISTRICTS
Various other community-oriented activities were also organized across districts as part of Police Week celebrations. Outer District conducted drawing competitions for school children, while a health check-up camp was organized at Kashmere Gate Metro Station by the Metro Unit. A nukkad natak was performed at New Delhi Railway Station to spread public awareness. In North-East District, sports events including a volleyball match between police staff and local youth and a cricket tournament at Milkha Singh Stadium were conducted. West District distributed books to children under the Community Policing initiative and organised a rural sports football tournament to encourage youth engagement and community participation.

DELHI POLICE WEEK 2026 (16–22 FEBRUARY 2026)
Delhi Police is celebrating Police Week 2026 with great enthusiasm and commitment from 16th to 22nd February 2026. The week-long celebrations aim to highlight the glorious history, achievements, modernisation initiatives, and citizen-centric policing efforts of Delhi Police.

The celebrations are being conducted under seven designated daily themes:
सेवा – “निस्वार्थ जनसेवा का संकल्प”
सुरक्षा – “सुरक्षा से विश्वास तक”
समर्पण – “कर्तव्य सर्वोपरि”
साहस – “हर चुनौती में अडिग”
संवेदना – “मानवीय पुलिसिंग की पहचान”
सतर्कता – नये पुलिस कानूनों का महत्व
सहयोग – “जन-पुलिस भागीदारी से सुरक्षित दिल्ली”

• Performances by the Delhi Police Band at prominent public locations
• March pasts by the Delhi Police marching contingent, recently declared the best during the Republic Day Parade–2026
• Public awareness campaigns through Jansampark Vahan
• Delhi Gully Olympics (Rural Sports Initiative)
• Podcasts on relevant topics to generate public awareness
• A Mega Exhibition showcasing the history, modernization, and initiatives of Delhi Police
• Musical Evening and Kavi Sammelan
• “Run for Drug Awareness” campaign promoting a drug-free society
