-Doctors highlight seasonal health risks and latest treatment advances at the meet

Faridabad: A medical seminar was jointly organised by Accord Hospital and Doctors Forum Faridabad at a hotel in Sector 12, with participation from a large number of doctors. Chairman of the Neurology Department, Dr. Rohit Gupta, and Chairman of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department, Dr. R.C. Soni, attended the programme as chief guests. Addressing the seminar, Dr. Rohit Gupta said the risk of stroke increases significantly during the winter season, particularly among patients with pre-existing neurological conditions. He explained that reduced blood circulation and narrowing of brain vessels during cold weather heighten the risk, adding that regular medication and exercise play a vital role in prevention. Dr. R.C. Soni said people tend to consume more fried and junk food during winter, leading to stomach pain and other digestive disorders. He advised avoiding unhealthy eating habits and stressed that timely medical examination, rather than panic, helps prevent serious illness. Both experts underlined the need to keep doctors updated with new treatment techniques and modern medical practices. Neurology specialist Dr. Sandeep Ghosh shared information on recent advancements in stroke treatment, stating that timely intervention supported by modern technology can save lives. He added that Accord Hospital is equipped with advanced facilities for effective stroke management. Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialist Dr. Tanvi Sawant spoke about new diagnostic and treatment techniques for stomach and liver-related diseases, noting that improved medical facilities are providing greater relief to patients. Doctors Forum head Dr. Naresh Jindal and other doctors actively participated in an interactive question-and-answer session during the seminar.
