Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Joins Yoga Day Celebrations at Asola-Bhatti, Highlights Healthy Ageing

Chief Minister says regular yoga practice can help build a healthier, active and stress-free Delhi

New Delhi, June 21, 2026: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in a collective yoga session at Neeli Jheel in Asola-Bhatti on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, joining hundreds of citizens and yoga enthusiasts in promoting the message of health, wellness and balanced living.

The event witnessed active participation from people across different age groups, who performed various yoga postures and exercises to mark the occasion. The celebrations focused on this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, highlighting the importance of maintaining physical fitness, mental strength and emotional wellbeing throughout life.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that yoga is a powerful tool for creating a healthier, more active and stress-free society. Highlighting the global recognition of yoga, Rekha Gupta said that the ancient Indian practice has now become a worldwide movement for wellness.
