District Election Officer Vikram Singh leads efforts for smooth conduct of Haryana Assembly Elections

Faridabad 18 September: A review meeting, chaired by DC Vikram Singh, was held at the Mini Secretariat Auditorium with election observers and police officials to ensure the smooth conduct of the Haryana Assembly elections. Raghav Langer, IAS, the General Observer for the 85-Pirthla and 88-Ballabgarh constituencies emphasized strict action against unauthorized campaign vehicles as per Election Commission guidelines. The meeting also included Police Observer Sandeep Singh Chauhan IPS and General Observer of 86-NIT Assembly and 89-Faridabad Assembly constituency Vibhut Ranjan Chauhan IAS, along with the General Observer appointed for 87-Badkhal Assembly constituency and 90-Tigaon Assembly constituency Geeta Singh IAS. District Election Officer and DC Vikram Singh detailed the district administration’s preparations for ensuring a smooth election process, affirming that all steps are in place to adhere to the guidelines of the Election Commission. Police Commissioner OP Narwal provided updates on security measures to maintain law and order. The election observers emphasized the responsibility of conducting the elections in a free, fair, and peaceful manner, urging the police and administration to ensure strict compliance with the rules. Observers emphasized monitoring political activities and enforcing the Model Code of Conduct, with continuous flag marches to ensure public safety and a secure voting environment. Special Surveillance Teams (SST) were instructed to thoroughly check vehicles for illegal activities, such as transporting liquor or cash for political purposes, and to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Election officers were also advised to swiftly issue notices for any violations of the election code and ensure strict enforcement.

During the meeting, DCP Abhishek Jorwal, ADC Dr. Anand Sharma, CEO District Council Satbir Mann, SDM Faridabad Shikha, SDM Ballabhgarh Mayank Bhardwaj, SDM Badkhal Amit Mann, HSVP Estate Officer Siddharth Dahiya and CTM Ankit Kumar along with other concerned officers were present.
