Faridabad , 16 September , 2024 : DC Vikram Singh held a review meeting with department officials on Monday at the Mini Secretariat Auditorium, focusing on drainage management following recent rains. During the meeting, he urged concerned departments to actively monitor waterlogging in urban areas of Faridabad and ensure prompt action to prevent any future mishaps. He stressed that the Haryana Urban Development Authority, National Highway Authority, Irrigation Department, FMDA, and MCF must collaborate to visit affected areas and submit joint survey reports on a daily basis. DC Vikram Singh also directed officials to resolving waterlogging issues, especially in underpasses and other critical areas. He emphasized that department officers responsible for specific tasks must take immediate steps to improve water drainage, ensuring they fulfill their duties with dedication. He also instructed officials to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience. Where coordination with another department is required, it should be promptly established to offer relief. Additionally, DC Singh directed the Municipal Corporation to take swift action to remove encroachments from drains, preventing blockages that could lead to waterlogging in various areas. Present at the meeting were Swapnil Ravindra Patil, Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, and many other departmental officers.
