NEW DELHI, 30 JUNE2026: Thousands gathered at Swabhiman Sthal, Ghevra Mod, today to pay heartfelt tributes to Late Shri Sahib Singh Verma Ji, former Chief Minister of Delhi, former Union Cabinet Minister, and one of the capital’s most respected public leaders, on the occasion of his Punyatithi. The solemn prayer meeting was attended by Delhi Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, senior leaders, and citizens from across Delhi, reflecting the enduring respect and affection he continues to command.

Widely regarded as the voice of Delhi’s rural communities, Sahib Singh Verma Ji devoted his life to public service with honesty, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of ordinary citizens. Born into a humble farming family in Mundka, he rose to the highest offices of public life while remaining deeply rooted in the values of rural Delhi. Throughout his journey, he believed that politics was not about power, but about selfless service.
Paying tribute on the occasion, Delhi Cabinet Minister

Leaders present at the prayer meeting remembered Sahib Singh Verma Ji as a visionary administrator, an educationist, and a mass leader whose contributions to education, infrastructure, and the empowerment of the weaker sections continue to shape Delhi’s progress.
