Amaravati , 12 June, 2024 – TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth term on Wednesday, in a ceremony graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior BJP leaders, and Union Ministers.
The event saw Janasena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan, along with Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, taking oath as Ministers. Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer administered the oath to Naidu and others.
Prime Minister Modi expressed his support by hugging and patting Naidu, later engaging with Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, as well as Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and his wife Latha.
The NDA coalition, comprising TDP, BJP, and Janasena, claimed a massive victory in the recent elections, securing 164 out of 175 Assembly seats and 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats. Key figures from TDP and Janasena, including Pawan Kalyan and Naidu’s son Lokesh, were sworn in as part of the 25-member Cabinet, with the assembly allowing up to 26 ministers including the CM.
Naidu has retained his Kuppam constituency, while Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh triumphed in Pithapuram and Mangalagiri assembly segments respectively.
