Hyderabad, November 12- After a six-year hiatus from Indian cinema, global superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas has set social media ablaze with her powerful comeback in S.S. Rajamouli’s much-anticipated action-adventure film, GlobeTrotter. The makers revealed the first-look poster of Priyanka’s character, Mandakini, earlier today, offering fans a thrilling glimpse into Rajamouli’s next cinematic universe.
In the striking poster, Priyanka is seen wearing a mustard-yellow saree, holding a pistol aimed with precision against a backdrop of ancient temple ruins. Her intense expression and rugged surroundings hint at a story that blends mythology, history, and global adventure—a signature hallmark of Rajamouli’s storytelling style.
The film, touted as one of India’s most ambitious international collaborations, also stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, marking the first-ever on-screen pairing between the Telugu superstar and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. According to industry insiders, the movie is envisioned as a pan-world cinematic journey that takes the audience through ancient Indian legends intertwined with modern-day exploration and espionage.
Rajamouli, known globally for Baahubali and RRR, described GlobeTrotter as a “fusion of mythology and motion — where Indian heritage meets global scale.” Sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), the director wrote,
“She’s calm as the sea, fierce as the storm — presenting Mandakini. Welcome back, @priyankachopra, to Indian cinema.”
Priyanka, who has been focusing on Hollywood projects and her production ventures over the past few years, expressed her excitement about returning to the Indian screen. In her Instagram post accompanying the poster, she wrote,
“Some stories pull you back home. Mandakini is strength, love, and chaos in one heartbeat. Grateful to be back where it all began.”
Sources close to the production revealed that GlobeTrotter has already completed its first shooting schedule in Hyderabad and will soon move to Kenya, Greece, and Cambodia for major action sequences. The film’s music is composed by M.M. Keeravani, while cinematography is being handled by K.K. Senthil Kumar, both long-time collaborators of Rajamouli.
Set for a theatrical release in mid-2026, GlobeTrotter is expected to redefine the boundaries of Indian cinema on the global stage. With Priyanka’s return, Mahesh Babu’s mass appeal, and Rajamouli’s cinematic vision, the project is already being hailed as a potential game-changer for pan-Indian storytelling.
As anticipation mounts, one thing is clear — GlobeTrotter promises to be not just a film but a monumental experience where myth, mystery, and modernity collide.
