Faridabad, March 8, 2025 – A successful blood donation camp was organised on Saturday 8th March 2025, at MDIPL Customer Experience Centre, Sector 70. The initiative was a joint effort by the Citizens Welfare Association, Industrial Welfare Association, Prayas Social Welfare Society, Rotary Club Faridabad Midtown, and Chatrath Charitable Medical and Educational Trust.
Special contributions were made by DAV NTPC School and the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Mulberry County. The camp saw a total of 74 willing donors. However, only 34 were deemed fit to donate blood, as 40 donors were found unfit due to high blood pressure and low haemoglobin levels.
This concerning trend marks a sharp increase from last year’s camp, where only five donors were disqualified out of 60. Acknowledging the issue, the Citizens Welfare Association has announced plans to organize a health check-up camp soon. Medical professionals will assess participants and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and necessary medication.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and lifestyle modifications to ensure more successful blood donations in the future.
