The Impressive TimesMahendragarh: The Central University of Haryana (CUH) has opened online applications for admission to its PhD programmes for the July 2026 cycle. The university is offering 190 seats across 32 departments, with eligible candidates able to register until October 3, 2026.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said the university is focusing on strengthening research, innovation and skill development in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy. He expressed confidence that the admission process would attract capable and committed research scholars to CUH.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma also said the PhD admission process would provide research opportunities to talented aspirants seeking to pursue higher studies.
According to Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar, CUH will publish the list of candidates exempted from the entrance examination on October 5.
The entrance test for six PhD programmes is scheduled for October 8 and will be conducted at the university campus. Candidates eligible under GATE and GPAT for the respective programmes will not be required to appear for the entrance examination.
The university will begin the interview process from October 12. If seats remain vacant after the initial admission process, CUH will release a second list on October 17, 2026.
