Schedule released for degree film project shoots, starting September 18

Rohtak– The path has been cleared for the 2019 batch of the Film and Television (FTV) Faculty of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA) to complete their degrees. The schedule for the shoots of their pending degree film projects has been released. The shoot of the first degree film will begin on September 18. Nine short films will be produced during the shoots, which will run continuously for 94 days.

FC Mahesh TP said that Vice Chancellor Dr Amit Arya had recently ordered that the backlog of the pending batch of degree students in FTV be cleared as soon as possible. He also directed that the timeline of batches running on schedule must not be missed under any circumstances. Therefore, as a step toward getting the 2019 batch cleared, the schedule for the shoots of their degree film projects has been released. After these shoots are completed, post-production work will begin. After this, these students will have their jury, and upon passing it, their degrees will be completed. Earlier, on September 11, moving the 2022 batch forward, their music video shoots were started. Both these shoot schedules will continue in parallel. Separate arrangements for cameras, lights, etc. have been made for them.

Mahesh TP said that the start of the degree film project shoots will provide major relief to the students of the 2019 batch. Vice Chancellor Dr Amit Arya has clearly ordered that any delays that occurred previously in completing the students’ coursework will no longer be tolerated under any circumstances. Therefore, separate unit managers have also been appointed for all 9 degree film shoots, while the necessary cameras, lights, generators, etc. have been arranged at the university level. Since the shoots are to continue non-stop for 94 days, arrangements for light boys, makeup, spot boys, carpenters, etc. have already been made. Teams of students studying in the Direction, Cinematography, Editing, and Audiography courses of the 2019 batch have been formed for the different short films. These teams will handle all responsibilities for their respective shoots. The students included in these teams will have their short films shot with them serving as editors, directors, cinematographers, and audiographers.

Mahesh TP said that Vice Chancellor Dr Amit Arya is completely serious about clearing the backlog of the FTV students’ courses. It was through his efforts that the degree of the 2018 batch was completed in March. Now the shoots of the 2019 and 2022 batches will run simultaneously. Meanwhile, work has also begun toward advancing the studies of other batches that are still pending. Planning is currently underway to start some more shoots. In the coming days, greater momentum will begin to be seen in this matter.
