Haryana Eyes Global Expansion Through UK CETA, Targets ₹5 Lakh Crore Investment by 2030-31

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini participated in the programme ‘Haryana UK CETA: Trade Bridge—Unlocking Global Opportunities for Haryana’, highlighting the state’s growing focus on expanding trade and investment opportunities in international markets.

Addressing the gathering, Saini said Haryana has adopted a forward-looking ‘Go Global’ vision, with the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) serving as a major milestone in this direction. He said the agreement is expected to provide better access to the UK market for key sectors such as textiles, footwear, gems and jewellery, and engineering.

The Chief Minister noted that Haryana will complete 60 years of its formation on November 1, 2026. To mark the historic milestone, the state will host the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2027 from April 5 to 7, 2027.

Saini said Haryana has set an ambitious target of attracting ₹5 lakh crore in new investments and generating more than 10 lakh jobs by 2030-31. He added that the state is taking several measures to strengthen its industrial ecosystem and promote sector-specific growth.

Highlighting the response to the recently introduced sector-specific policies, the Chief Minister said 110 MoUs worth ₹1.10 lakh crore were signed on the first day of their launch, reflecting strong investor interest in Haryana.

Saini also assured growth partners of the state government’s support in expanding international business and trade through the Department of Foreign Cooperation.

Inviting global partners to further strengthen their engagement with Haryana, the Chief Minister also extended an invitation to attend the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav 2026, highlighting the state’s cultural and international outreach.
