BJP should tell Delhi, if not Ramesh Bidhuri, then who is their CM face?: Sanjay Singh

As soon as Ramesh Bidhuri’s name was floated as BJP’s CM candidate, infighting began among their leaders: Sanjay Singh

NEW DELHI: January14, 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again targeted the BJP over its Chief Ministerial candidate. AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh criticized the BJP over confusion regarding its Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi. He questioned the party’s failure to clarify who their CM face is, after infighting erupted when Ramesh Bidhuri’s name was discussed.

Sanjay Singh pointed out that Arvind Kejriwal had challenged Ramesh Bidhuri to a public debate on his vision for Delhi, but now Ramesh Bidhuri running away, leaving the BJP without a clear leader.

AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that just a few days ago, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Delhi’s Chief Ministerial candidate, Arvind Kejriwal, openly challenged BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri to a public debate on his vision for Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal questioned what Ramesh Bidhuri plans for the future of the capital and urged him to discuss the matter on a public platform.

Highlighting Ramesh Bidhuri’s position within the BJP, Sanjay Singh said, “Ramesh Bidhuri is considered the strongest and most prominent contender for the Chief Ministerial post within the BJP. He possesses all the qualifications required to become the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate.”

Sanjay Singh added, “However, after we received information from sources that Ramesh Bidhuri’s name is being considered as the BJP’s Chief Ministerial face, Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference, which triggered internal disputes within the BJP.”

Sanjay Singh stated, “The BJP leaders started fighting among themselves. Parvesh Verma said, ‘I am also here,’ and someone else said, ‘I am also here.’ This ‘I am also here’ tussle has caused infighting. Now we are hearing that Ramesh Bidhuri is saying, ‘No, I am not the candidate.’”

Sanjay Singh questioned the BJP’s lack of clarity on its leadership in Delhi, saying, “So, who, where is your candidate? The BJP seems to be heading into the elections without a groom in their wedding procession. Without a clear Chief Ministerial face, what message is the BJP trying to convey to the people of Delhi?”

He added, “This is a very dangerous situation. Elections will happen, but until then, the people of Delhi won’t even know who the BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate is. Who is their face for Delhi? What is their plan for the city?”

Sanjay Singh emphasized the need for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to clarify its leadership in Delhi, stating, “That is why the BJP needs to reveal who their ‘groom’ is—who their Chief Ministerial face is.” He questioned, “Why was pressure put on Ramesh Bidhuri to make that statement? And if he is not their Chief Ministerial candidate, then who is? The people of Delhi and the entire country deserve to know.”

He further highlighted, “This evening at 4 PM, the Aam Aadmi Party has organized an event to expose the truth and reality of the BJP on this matter.”
