Chandigarh: Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal said that Haryana has successfully eliminated nepotism, corruption, regionalism, and casteism, setting an example of transparent governance. He urged office bearers of the Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman Jan Chetna Trust to intensify efforts to ensure that the welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments reach the Dalit and underprivileged sections of society.
Addressing members of the Trust after a meeting held in New Delhi, the Union Minister emphasized that hundreds of Central and State Government schemes are designed to uplift Dalit communities and help improve their standard of living.
However, he noted that many eligible beneficiaries remain deprived due to lack of awareness about these initiatives.
The Trust’s National President and Chief Media Advisor to the Minister, Sudesh Kataria, briefed the Minister about the organization’s activities, highlighting that district-level Samvidhan Bachao Sammelan have already been conducted across the State to connect Dalit communities with the BJP.

He announced that assembly-level conferences will now be organized to further expand the outreach and ensure that government schemes benefit every eligible household.
Praising the Minister’s continued commitment to the welfare of marginalised communities, Sudesh Kataria said that Manohar Lal has always been a strong voice for the Dalit, deprived, and oppressed sections, safeguarding their rights and interests.
Taking a dig at the Congress, the Union Minister said that parties which have long exploited the sentiments of the Dalit and backward classes for political gains “cannot continue to mislead people for long,” adding that “their decline is inevitable.”
Reaffirming the BJP government’s commitment to social justice, Manohar Lal highlighted initiatives such as transparent recruitment policies, under which government jobs are now offered “without recommendation slips or monetary influence.”
He said this system has brought significant relief and opportunity to thousands of youths and families from the marginalised sections.
He concluded by calling upon the Trust’s office bearers to act as bridges between the government and the people, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of society and help bring about a true social transformation.
