Anil Baluni meets Education Minister Pralhad Joshi over Central Schools in Uttarakhand

New Delhi, August 26, 2026; BJP leader Anil Baluni has sought the establishment of Central Schools in four locations of Uttarakhand to expand access to quality education for students in the state’s hill regions.

Baluni met Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi and raised the issue during their meeting. He also conveyed his greetings to Joshi on taking additional responsibility for the Ministry of Education.

Among the key demands raised by Baluni was the setting up of a Central School in Gairsain, Uttarakhand’s summer capital. He further proposed Central Schools for Ramnagar, Yamkeshwar Assembly constituency and Devprayag.

According to Baluni, the Education Minister responded positively to the proposals and assured him that the matter would be taken up for necessary action.

Baluni said the proposed institutions could strengthen educational facilities in these areas and give students from the hill regions greater access to quality schooling closer to their homes.

The demand comes with an emphasis on improving educational infrastructure in Uttarakhand’s remote and hilly areas, where better access to established educational institutions can provide wider opportunities for local students.
