Palwal- A shocking case of alleged domestic violence has surfaced in Haryana’s Palwal district, where a 31-year-old man is accused of killing his wife and young daughter before fleeing with his infant son. Police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused and safely recover the child.
The victims — a 27-year-old woman from Mathura and her four-year-old daughter — were found dead inside their home in Kithwari village. Authorities said the bodies were discovered after the woman’s family rushed to the house upon receiving information that she had died by suicide. However, upon arrival, they found both victims lying lifeless, raising suspicion of foul play.
According to police officials, the accused, a property dealer, is absconding along with his parents and other family members. The couple’s infant son, born earlier this month, is also missing.
Station House Officer Hari Kishan said initial findings point towards murder. “The bodies were found inside the house, and the circumstances suggest they may have been killed either by strangulation or poisoning. The accused and his family fled from the spot along with the infant. Efforts are underway to locate them,” he said.
The woman’s family has alleged prolonged harassment related to dowry demands. They claimed that the accused and his relatives had been pressuring her for ₹25 lakh in cash and a Mahindra Scorpio even years after the marriage. The family also alleged that she faced abuse for giving birth to a girl and was under pressure during her recent pregnancy.
Police said the post-mortem examination has been conducted, and viscera samples have been preserved to determine the exact cause of death.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s relatives, an FIR has been registered against seven individuals, including the husband and his family members, under provisions related to murder, dowry death, and common intention in the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Authorities confirmed that multiple teams are conducting raids at possible hideouts to arrest the accused and ensure the safe rescue of the infant.
