Faridabad, February 26 , 2026: A crime review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Police Commissioner Satendra Kumar Gupta to curb crime in the city. He directed all DCPs, ACPs, and police station in-charges to take strict action against drug traffickers, arrest proclaimed offenders (POs), seize their properties, ensure the capture of absconding criminals in serious cases, and expedite the resolution of pending cases. He also issued important instructions regarding the upcoming municipal elections.
The Police Commissioner said that any attempts to influence the municipal elections through illegal means should be met with strict action. Special monitoring will be conducted on anti-social elements, and immediate action will be taken against illegal election-related activities. Criminals and individuals with a history of misconduct will be kept under strict surveillance. Police station in-charges and crime branch officers will conduct continuous patrolling and set up checkpoints to curb crime. Groups of two or more young men traveling on motorcycles, cars, or any other vehicles will be thoroughly checked.
The Commissioner emphasized that the primary goal of Faridabad Police is to ensure fair and peaceful elections. For this purpose, over 4,000 police personnel will be deployed for election duty. Nine police officers at the ACP level have been appointed as police supervisor officers to oversee the process.
He further directed that proclaimed offenders (POs), bail jumpers, and criminals involved in serious offenses should be apprehended immediately, and property confiscation of proclaimed offenders should be enforced.
The meeting was attended by DCP Headquarters Abhishek Jorwal, DCP Traffic Jasleen Kaur, DCP NIT Kuldeep Singh, DCP Ballabgarh Kushal Pal Singh, DCP Central Usha, along with all Assistant Police Commissioners, police station in-charges, and crime branch officials.
