Consumption of electricity reached to 1470.32 lac units this summer

Gurugram, May 29,2024 : P.C. Meena, managing director Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam Limited, said the consumers are being supplied with electricity as per their demand without any interruption. While adjusting with the rising temperature this year, the electricity department is fulfilling the demand of the electricity with the help of the strong infrastructure that is maintained by the department. Meena informed that the highest supply of electricity was recorded on 28th May this season. The electricity consumers were supplied with 1470.32 lac units in a single day this season, making it the highest quantity of supply in any given day.
The circle wise supply of electricity included Gurugram Circle one touching 188.12 lac units while circle 2 recorded a consumption of 294.22 lacs units. Faridabad was a bit lower than the circle 2 of Gurugram recording 254.81 lac units while Palwal circle recorded 93.31 lacs units. Narnaul recorded 60.04 lac units while Rewari circle ended with consumption of 97.72 lac units. Bhiwani recorded 102.72 lac units, Jind circle 82.83 lacs units, Hisar circle 115.27 lacs units, Fatehabad circle ended with 79.69 lac units of consumption and Sirsa circle with 101.59 lac units.
Meena informed that last year the consumption recorded on 28th May was of 840.97 lac units which increased to 1470.32 lac units this year recording an increase of 74.84 percentages higher than last year.
