New Delhi- The government’s Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Weeks Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan is set to witness a major nationwide youth mobilisation on September 20, with the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh planned at 1,067 locations across the country.
The initiative, being coordinated through MY Bharat and its partner organisations, will bring young people together for a collective commitment towards a healthier and addiction-free future.
The programme will be conducted through 471 District MY Bharat Offices and 596 locations of partner organisations. Participants will take part in a Nasha Mukt pledge and signature campaign, along with activities aimed at encouraging youth participation and awareness.
A wide network of institutions and organisations will participate in the mobilisation. These include educational and university bodies, industry associations, spiritual organisations, NGOs and local partners.
Among the participating organisations, Maa Amritanandmayi Math will conduct programmes at 130 locations, while Heartfulness and BAPS will participate at 74 and 56 locations, respectively. The partner network also includes EPSI, CIPU, AIU, Project Point, ASSOCHAM, CII, FICCI, 245 local partner organisations and 18 MY Bharat chapters in private and premier institutes.
The September 20 programme will feature a range of participatory activities, including the Nasha Mukt Pledge, signature campaigns, thematic street plays, slogan writing and youth-led discussions.
Officials said these activities are intended to provide young people with platforms to share their views, interact with their peers and communities, and turn awareness into constructive action.
The mobilisation follows activities held nationwide on September 18, which marked the beginning of the current phase of the campaign. The opening day saw participation from 259 institutions, with 1,430 activities conducted across all 28 States and 8 Union Territories.
As many as 1,46,520 participants were mobilised during the September 18 activities, which included pledge ceremonies, signature campaigns, street plays and discussions led by young people
The 100 Weeks Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan is being implemented as a sustained youth movement focusing on prevention, awareness, healthy lifestyles and positive engagement.
The first activity cycle is centred on three themes — My Health, My Pride; Fit Youth, Addiction-Free Youth; and Life Skills Month.
Through these themes, the campaign seeks to encourage healthier choices while promoting fitness, community participation and essential life skills among young people.
The Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh is expected to provide a major platform for MY Bharat, partner organisations and youth from across the country to come together and reinforce the message of a Nasha Mukt future.
