A woman employee working at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra’s Nashik has filed multiple complaints accusing colleagues of harassment, offensive religious comments and inappropriate behavior within the office premises.
According to police records, the complainant’s statement forms part of several FIRs lodged in connection with the case. She has alleged that certain individuals at the workplace passed derogatory remarks targeting her faith and made controversial statements linking violence against women to their choice of clothing, including not wearing a burqa.
The woman further claimed that she faced uncomfortable situations during training sessions, where a senior team member allegedly engaged in inappropriate physical contact. She described the work environment as hostile and mentally distressing due to repeated incidents of misconduct and verbal abuse.
Authorities reviewing the matter have stated that an internal examination of records initially showed no formal complaints had been registered through official company channels. However, following the FIRs, law enforcement agencies have begun a detailed investigation into the allegations.
TCS has yet to issue a detailed public response regarding the specific claims, but sources indicate that internal procedures may be initiated alongside the police probe.
The case has raised serious concerns about workplace safety, employee grievance mechanisms, and the need for stricter enforcement of policies against harassment and discrimination in corporate offices.
