Hardoi- A major milestone in infrastructure development was achieved as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 594-km-long Ganga Expressway in Hardoi on Wednesday. The high-profile event was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.


The expressway, built parallel to the Ganga River, is expected to significantly enhance connectivity across the state and serve as a catalyst for economic growth. Officials highlighted that the project will reduce travel time, improve logistics efficiency, and strengthen regional trade networks.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the expressway as a “backbone of the state’s economy,” emphasizing its role in transforming infrastructure and boosting investment opportunities. He noted that under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the state has rapidly expanded its road network, now reaching nearly 4 lakh km, providing a strong foundation for overall development.
The Ganga Expressway is part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader vision to modernize infrastructure and improve connectivity between major cities and rural regions. With better road access, the project is expected to create employment opportunities, support industrial growth, and facilitate smoother transportation of goods and services across the state.
