Ballabhgarh Assault Case Sparks Outrage as Accused Paraded with Shaved Heads

Three arrested for brutal hammer attack taken to crime scene during police probe

Faridabad- A controversial development has emerged in Haryana’s Ballabhgarh after three accused in a violent assault case were allegedly paraded with their heads shaved following their arrest, drawing attention to police procedures during investigation.

According to police, the accused were taken to the crime scene in Bhudatt Colony as part of routine investigation after being arrested in connection with a brutal attack on a local resident on April 17. However, eyewitnesses claimed that the trio were publicly paraded in the area with shaved heads, raising concerns.

The case pertains to a serious assault in which the victim, identified as Praveen, was attacked near his residence by a group of assailants armed with hammers and sticks. The assault left him critically injured, with both legs reportedly fractured.

Police investigations indicated the involvement of a local gang known as the ‘Bandar-Bhalu’ group. The alleged main accused include individuals identified by their aliases, along with their relatives, who were said to be part of the attack.

The three arrested accused were produced before a court and remanded to police custody for further interrogation. Officials stated that the arrests were carried out by the Crime Branch and that the accused were being questioned to uncover the full sequence of events and motive behind the attack.

Preliminary findings suggest that a long-standing land dispute between the victim and one of the accused may have triggered the violence. Police also confirmed that some of the accused have previous criminal records, including involvement in serious offences.

Further investigation is underway, and authorities are working to identify and arrest remaining suspects linked to the case.
