The Impressive TimesParts of Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand are expected to experience heatwave to severe heatwave conditions for the next 4-5 days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted heatwave conditions in parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Division and Odisha. There will be no significant change in maximum temperatures in eastern India for the next three days. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has now advanced further over more parts of Maharashtra, across Telangana and some more parts of Chhattisgarh. The Meteorological Department has forecast further advancement of the southwest monsoon over more parts of Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and northwest Bay of Bengal will experience fine weather for the next 3-4 days. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rains over the sub-Himalayan states of West Bengal, Sikkim and northeast India over the next four to five days.
