Union Minister Manohar Lal Inaugurates Tailoring Training Centres Under Antyodaya Foundation in Panipat

Panipat/Samalkha: Union Minister Manohar Lal on Wednesday inaugurated tailoring training centres set up by the Antyodaya Foundation Trust in Chulkana and Barana villages, saying that India can become truly self-reliant only when the most underprivileged sections of society achieve economic self-reliance.

Addressing the gathering, Manohar Lal said the objective of the Antyodaya Foundation is to provide dignified employment opportunities to the most needy through skill development. He said vocational skills, alongside formal education, are essential for creating sustainable livelihoods and added that the newly launched tailoring centres would help women become financially independent and contribute to the country’s economic growth. He also said the Foundation is expanding its initiatives by establishing beautician and computer training centres to enhance employment opportunities for women and youth.

Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, who welcomed the Union Minister at Barana, praised the Foundation’s initiative and said Manohar Lal has consistently placed Antyodaya at the centre of governance. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Bhatia said the Foundation is working to provide skill training in tailoring, beauty services, computer education and driving to enable economically weaker sections to become self-reliant.

Samalkha MLA Manmohan Bhadana thanked the Union Minister for launching the centres in his constituency. The programme was conducted by former BJP district president and MP representative Gajendra Saluja. On this occasion, Trust members Aayashana Kalyan and Brij Gupta, along with Chulkana Sarpanch Satish, Barana Sarpanch Soni Markona, Renu Dhiman, Sanjay Tyagi, Krishna Arya, Bhushan Chhokar, Suraj Mal Goswami, Dinesh, Suresh Lamra, Mange Ram, Naresh Kumar, Satpal, Harbhajan Singh, Sandeep Kaushik, and Vikas, as well as Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Director and his team were also present.
