Women and Child Development Ministry Conducts Cyber Security Workshop to Promote Safe Digital Practices

Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development Anil Malik, along with around 120 officers of the Ministry, participated in the workshop.

New Delhi, June 15: The Ministry of Women and Child Development organised a Cyber Security Awareness Workshop for its officers to enhance understanding of digital safety, information security and responsible online practices.

The workshop focused on strengthening awareness about cyber hygiene, application security, data protection measures and ways to prevent cyber threats in official and personal digital environments.

A specialised team from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) conducted a detailed presentation on various aspects of cyber security. The session covered emerging cyber risks, secure digital practices, protection of sensitive information and the importance of maintaining strong security protocols.

The initiative was aimed at building a stronger cyber security culture among government officials and ensuring that digital systems are used safely and effectively. With increasing dependence on technology for governance and service delivery, awareness about cyber threats has become an essential part of institutional functioning.

The workshop highlighted the need for continuous learning and vigilance to safeguard government data and strengthen resilience against cyber incidents.

The Ministry emphasised that such awareness programmes will help officers adopt secure digital practices and contribute towards creating a safer and more reliable digital ecosystem.
