Gurugram murder Two minors held for killing man with stones after late-night clash

Unidentified victim found on pavement as CCTV footage leads police to teenage suspects

Gurugram- Two teenagers have been detained for allegedly killing a man by attacking him with stones after a verbal argument in Haryana’s Gurugram district, police said.

The accused, aged 15 and 16, were traced and apprehended in connection with the incident near Fazilpur Mor in Farrukhnagar. The victim, estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old, is yet to be identified.

Police said the case came to light early Sunday morning when a security guard found the man lying in a pool of blood on a pavement outside a shop and alerted authorities. The victim had suffered multiple head injuries, and stones and broken bricks were recovered from the spot.

Officials added that the same guard had seen the man earlier in the night during a patrol round. At that time, he was allegedly intoxicated and behaving aggressively.

According to Sandeep Turan, CCTV footage from nearby areas helped identify the suspects. During questioning, the boys reportedly admitted their involvement.

Police said the minors had gone out to buy cigarettes when they encountered the victim. A heated exchange followed after the man allegedly abused them, leading to the assault. The teens then fled the scene.

An FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and common intention. The accused have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to a remand home.

Efforts are ongoing to identify the deceased and continue the investigation.
