The couple had earlier exchanged rings during an engagement ceremony held in Lucknow on June 4 last year. Following the wedding in the hill town, a grand reception has been planned in Lucknow on March 17, where several prominent personalities from the cricketing world are expected to attend.
Kuldeep’s long-time coach Kapil Pandey confirmed the wedding schedule and shared details of the upcoming ceremonies. According to him, close family members and friends will travel to Mussoorie on March 12, while traditional pre-wedding rituals including the haldi ceremony will take place the following day. The wedding will be solemnised on March 14, and the reception will later be hosted at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow, the same venue where the engagement was organised.
Pandey, who has been mentoring Kuldeep since 2003, said the timing of the wedding feels especially meaningful after the team’s recent international success. He noted that earlier plans for the wedding had been postponed due to the cricketer’s busy playing schedule, but the current window turned out to be ideal.
Kuldeep, currently travelling under the schedule set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, is expected to visit his hometown Kanpur briefly before heading to Mussoorie for the ceremonies.
The left-arm wrist spinner played a role in India’s successful World Cup campaign and featured in the group-stage match against Pakistan. In that match, he dismissed Mohammad Nawaz while conceding only 14 runs in three overs, contributing to the team’s strong performance in the tournament.
With the upcoming wedding and the recent World Cup victory, the celebrations continue for Kuldeep and those close to him, marking a memorable period in both his professional and personal life.
