Colorful Passing Out Parade Marks Induction of 291 New Cadres into Delhi Police

Commissioner of Police Satish Golchha applauds discipline and diversity; trainees complete intensive academic, physical and commando training to join frontline policing

In the presence of  Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, the Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi, held a Passing Out & Swearing-in ceremony for 291 trainees.  Trainees from different cadres include 4 DANIPS Probationers (of Batch No. 25), 135 PSIs (of Batch No. 56), 133 Recruit Constables (of Batch No. 125) and 19 trainees of other cadres. These trainees have successfully completed their training and are now prepared to take on their roles in the Delhi Police force. Below are the key highlights of the ceremony:

Educational Background of Trainees                                                                                                                                                      

  • DANIPS Probationers: 01 DANIPS Probationer is M.Tech and another one is Tech.
  • Out of the 135 PSIs, 02 are B. Pharma, 01 is BAMS ,13 are B.Tech and 01 is L.L.B,
  • In the Batch of Recruit Constables, 02 are B.Tech, 02 are Post Graduates and 82 are Graduates.


Training Program Overview

  • Academic Training: The trainees underwent education in police procedures, Criminal Law, Criminology, Cyber-Crime, Investigation Techniques and Forensic Science, all pillars of Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary legal and procedural knowledge. They have been provided training with a special focus on applicability of new Criminal Laws.
  • Physical Training: The trainees participated in unarmed combat, firing, anti-terrorist measures and physical fitness activities such as games, yoga, and gym exercises.
  • Specialized Training focused upon Riot management, terrorism-related incidents and building physical fitness and endurance. These trainees were also trained for Disaster Response and tactical weapon handling. Furthermore, as part of their Commando course, PSIs and Recruit Constables received foundational knowledge regarding explosives and IEDs, Commando tactics training, field craft, raid & ambush training and building/urban intervention training.

Achievers

  • All-Round Best trophy was awarded to DANIPS Probationer Sh. Bharat Bhushan in his batch.
  • Amongst the PSIs, Sh. Sagar bagged the All-Round Best Trophy, while Ms. Karishma bagged Best Outdoor & Commando Trophy.
  • Recruit Head Constable Fitter (Electrician) Sh. Prem Kumar and Recruit Constable (Store man) Sh. Parvesh were awarded the All-Round Best trophy in their respective categories.
  • Among Recruit Constables, Ms. Ranjna & Ct. Shakti were awarded All-Round Best trophy in their respective categories.

Special CP Training’s Welcome Address

  • Sanjay Kumar congratulated the trainees, expressing confidence in their preparedness to serve with professionalism and integrity.
  • He highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork and value of public service, which were instilled in them during the training.
  • He also spoke about diversity among the trainees and how it strengthens the police force.
  • He encouraged the trainees to continue learning new techniques in their professional field and adapting to the evolving demands of modern policing.
  • The oath was administered to the passing out police personnel by Sh. Asif Mohd. Ali Jt. Director/Delhi Police Academy.

Chief Guest’s Address

  • Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, congratulated the trainees and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained during training in their field duties.
  • He lauded the contribution of women in all kinds of policing and commended that their involvement brings sensitivity and humane approach to law & order.
  • He underlined that Delhi Police has proved its mettle time and again and has faced tough challenges in maintaining law & order in the city during international summits, all kinds of religious festivities or during disasters, and expected that the new members in the force shall continue the tempo.
  • He cautioned the trainees about the reach of social media, where misinformation runs faster than the real information and urged them to make full use of technology in combating false narratives.
  • He emphasized that our focus should be on containing organized crime, ensuring safety of women & children and to completely eradicate Cyber Crime and terrorism. For that our personnel should be updated with the latest computer applications, other techniques and technology.
  • The CP, Delhi highlighted people’s expectations and our responsibility citing the fact that whenever anybody is in trouble, the person dials police emergency instead of calling near & dear ones.
  • He emphasized the importance of ethics, accountability and use of modern technology in law enforcement and urged the trainees to maintain high moral standards and integrity in their service to the community.

Family members of trainees, senior officers of Delhi Police, including Spl CsP Sh. Robin Hibu,  Neeraj Thakur, Ms. Garima Bhatnagar, Madhup Kumar Tewari, Sh. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Anil Shukla, Manish Kumar Agarwal & Vijay Kumar, and Lt. Col. B S Rao, Director, Security, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat also graced the occasion with their presence.
