Union Home Minister expresses condolences for Delhi blast victims, vows strict punishment for perpetrators; inaugurates key education and dairy projects through video conferencing

The Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the Motibhai R. Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School (MRCSSS) and the Sagar Organic Plant in Gujarat through video conferencing. The event was attended by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, and several dignitaries.

Amit Shah expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent car explosion in Delhi, assuring that Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s resolve to ensure strict punishment for those responsible for the terrorist act “will definitely be fulfilled.” He added that the punishment for the perpetrators would send a strong message to the world that no one should dare to even think of such an attack in India.

Highlighting India’s firm stance against terrorism, Shah stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the world has recognized India’s uncompromising fight against terrorism over the past 11 years. He reaffirmed that the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs are fully committed to ensuring justice for the victims of the Delhi attack.

Turning to the event’s focus, Amit Shah said that the inauguration of the Sagar Organic Plant and the M.R. Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School marks another step towards empowering youth and farmers in Gujarat. He described Motibhai Kaka as an inspiration who lived by Gandhian ideals of honesty and simplicity, contributing immensely to the welfare of farmers and cattle rearers.

The Sagar Sainik School, spread across 11 acres and built at a cost of ₹50 crore, includes smart classrooms, hostels, a library, and modern facilities. Shah said that this institution will open new paths for Gujarat’s youth to serve in the Indian Armed Forces. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the government is establishing 100 new Sainik Schools across India under the PPP model, and the Motibhai Chaudhary Sainik School will be a symbol of pride for Mehsana.

Speaking about the Sagar Organic Plant, Shah said the facility would ensure that reliable organic products under the Amul brand reach national and global markets. With a daily processing capacity of 30 metric tons, the plant is certified under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) and by APEDA, enabling farmers engaged in natural farming in North Gujarat to benefit from exports. He added that this initiative will improve citizens’ health and increase farmers’ income.

The Union Minister urged farmers practicing organic farming to also consume organic products themselves for a healthier lifestyle. Citing the remarkable growth of Doodhsagar Dairy, Shah said milk collection has risen from 3,300 liters per day in 1960 to 35 lakh liters per day, connecting 1,250 villages and over 10 lakh milk producers across five states. With a turnover of ₹8,000 crore, Doodhsagar Dairy is now a pillar of Gujarat’s White Revolution.

He noted that Banaskantha and Doodhsagar Dairy together have become models for transforming the dairy economy and promoting a circular economy. Shah also mentioned that the Modi government aims to ensure that 50% of milk produced by cooperative societies reaches both national and international markets, thereby benefiting rural cattle rearers.

Shah emphasized that three new multi-state cooperative societies have been established to ensure the benefits of the circular economy reach farmers nationwide. He highlighted the significant contribution of women, stating that 70% of Amul’s turnover comes from the hard work of self-reliant women.

Concluding his address, Shah lauded the Bhupendra Patel-led Gujarat government for announcing a generous relief package for farmers affected by unseasonal rains, reaffirming the state’s commitment to supporting the agricultural community.
