New Delhi: Literature is the soul of society, fostering dialogue, harmony, and national consciousness. Writers should strive tirelessly to keep the spirit of “nation first” alive among the people. These views were expressed by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s National Executive Member, Indresh Kumar as the chief guest on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration of Idea Communications and the tenth edition of Jashn-e-Chiragan. He said, “Many civilisations have come and gone, but India has always existed and will always exist.” He urged Idea Communications to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in a literary way, just like other festivals.

While delivering the Presidential Remarks, senior Member of Parliament, Shri Jagdambika Pal said that ‘Jashn-e-Chiraagaan’ is not just a poetic conclave, but a confluence of diverse languages and cultures.” He told that such cultural events play a very important role in strengthening the nation through shared heritage and togetherness, which Idea Communications has been endeavouring continuously for 25 years.

IDEAC Director Asif Azmi gave a brief account of the organization’s 25-year journey and said that it is an organization dedicated to Indian literature, culture and harmony.

Rajdhani College Principal Professor Darshan Pandey delivered the welcome address, while IDEAC Chairman, Gajanand Prasad Sharma delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Dr Gurvinder Singh Banga. Among special guests Pratap Somvanshi, Prof. Amit Kumar Singh and Aqueel Bakhsh were present. Poets who recited their poetry on the occasion were Alok Aviral, Rama Pandey, Suhaib Farooqi, Ahmad Alvi, VK Shekhar, Kamlesh Bhat Kamal, Surender Shajar, Dildar Dehlavi, Anjum Jafri, Asif Bilal.
