New Delhi- In a significant step towards enhancing governance and reaffirming the nation’s commitment to public service, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated the newly built Kartavya Bhawan to the nation. The state-of-the-art government facility, located in the heart of the national capital, is designed to improve policy implementation and ensure efficient delivery of welfare schemes to the people.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that Kartavya Bhawan is not just a physical structure but a living representation of the country’s unyielding dedication to duty and service. “This building will play a pivotal role in accelerating the pace of policy execution and in driving India’s development agenda with renewed vigour,” he said.
Highlighting the name ‘Kartavya Bhawan’ (translated as ‘Duty House’), the Prime Minister said it reflects the spirit of ‘Kartavya Path’—the road on which the building stands—and reinforces the government’s mission to serve every citizen with sincerity, efficiency, and responsibility.
PM Modi also took a moment to personally interact with the workers and engineers who contributed to the construction of the building. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for their hard work and called them the true architects of modern India. “Today, we have witnessed the dedication of our Shramyogis, whose tireless efforts have brought this grand structure to life,” he remarked.
One of the key highlights of the new building is its eco-friendly design. The Prime Minister noted that sustainability and environmental conservation were integral to the building’s architecture. The structure has been developed using green construction practices and energy-efficient materials, underscoring the government’s commitment to sustainable development.
In line with the occasion and to further promote environmental consciousness, the Prime Minister also planted a sapling within the premises of Kartavya Bhawan, symbolizing growth, responsibility, and the green future of governance.
Sharing the event on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote in Hindi:
“कर्तव्य पथ पर कर्तव्य भवन जन-जन की सेवा के प्रति हमारे अटूट संकल्प और निरंतर प्रयासों का प्रतीक है। यह ना केवल हमारी नीतियों और योजनाओं को लोगों तक तेजी से पहुंचाने में मददगार बनने वाला है, बल्कि इससे देश के विकास को भी एक नई गति मिलेगी।”
The dedication of Kartavya Bhawan marks another milestone in the government’s broader vision of transforming India into a developed, self-reliant nation, where infrastructure development goes hand-in-hand with sustainability and citizen-centric governance.
