According to trichologist and hair loss expert, a few small, consistent changes to your hair care routine can make a significant difference over time.

Taking to Instagram on July 13, X shared an informative post that highlighted simple yet effective steps that anyone can adopt at home. “These are a couple of habits that you can create at home to help your hair and scalp health,” she wrote. Her suggestions focus on boosting blood flow, protecting the hair shaft, and improving the scalp environment to support stronger, denser growth.

Here are the seven expert-backed tips she recommends:

1. Scalp Massage

Massaging your scalp for just 3–5 minutes daily can significantly enhance blood circulation, delivering essential nutrients directly to your hair follicles. This encourages natural growth and makes the hair look fuller over time. You can use your fingertips or a soft scalp massager for this ritual.

2. High-Protein Meals

Hair is made of a protein called keratin, and a protein-deficient diet can weaken hair strands and slow down growth. Enright recommends incorporating protein-rich foods such as eggs, lentils, chicken, tofu, and dairy into your daily meals to support hair regeneration.

3. Gentle, Sulfate-Free Hair Products

Avoid shampoos and conditioners that contain sulfates and parabens. These harsh chemicals can strip away natural oils and irritate your scalp. Instead, opt for products that are labeled as clean, gentle, or scalp-safe to maintain a healthy barrier and promote hair growth.
