Sonipat: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2012 batch, Sushil Sarwan, officially took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Sonipat on Monday. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sarwan served as Managing Director of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and the Haryana Financial Corporation. He has also demonstrated his administrative capabilities while serving as Deputy Commissioner in several districts of Haryana, including Panipat, Kurukshetra, and Panchkula.
Upon his arrival in Sonipat, Mr. Sarwan received a warm welcome from district administration officials. Among those who greeted him were Additional Deputy Commissioner Laksit Sareen, ACUT Yogesh Dilhaur, SDM Gohana Anjali Shrotriya, SDM Sonipat Subhash Chandra, SDM Kharkhoda Nirmal Nagar, SDM Ganaur Pravesh Kadian, CTM Dr. Anmol, MD Sugar Mill Amit Kumar, MD Gohana Sugar Mill Ankita Verma, DDPO Jitendra Kumar, and several other officials.

Immediately after assuming charge, Mr. Sushil Sarwan held a preliminary coordination meeting with district officials in his office. During the meeting, he discussed the key needs of the district and outlined administrative priorities. He emphasized that all government schemes must be implemented effectively, with public service, transparency, and accountability as the foundation of administration. He also made it clear that every officer must attentively listen to public grievances and ensure prompt resolution, thereby strengthening public trust in the administration.
Mr. Sarwan stated that his goal is to provide timely, transparent, and efficient services to the people of the district. He said that implementing government welfare schemes at the grassroots level and making the administration more responsive to public needs will be among his top priorities. He also directed officials to focus on areas such as environmental protection, sanitation, education, healthcare, and women’s safety.
Concluding the meeting, he urged all officials to work with dedication and a spirit of collective responsibility. “The progress and welfare of the district depend on our joint efforts,” he said. “The administration represents public trust, and we must remain alert and sensitive to uphold that trust at all times.”
