New Delhi, January8, 2025: Online travel giant MakeMyTrip (MMT) has launched an innovative feature called the “Part Payment Option” aimed at enhancing the convenience of booking international flights. This groundbreaking option enables travelers to secure their bookings by paying just 10–40% of the total fare upfront. The exact upfront payment is determined based on factors like the airline, travel sector, and how far in advance the flight is booked. The remaining balance is due either before the travel date or within 45 days of booking, whichever comes earlier, and comes with no additional cost. This new feature seeks to address a common challenge for many travelers, particularly families or groups, who often find it difficult to pay the entire amount for international flights at once.
The part payment option offers flexibility for users, allowing them to modify their confirmed bookings once they have paid in full, in line with the airline’s fare rules. This ensures added convenience for travelers looking to finalize their plans after the initial booking.

MakeMyTrip has been dedicated to offering practical, user-friendly solutions to simplify the travel experience. Previous features, such as the ‘Zero Cancellation’ option, provide travelers with coverage in case of unforeseen cancellations, while the ‘Fare Lock’ feature allows customers to lock flight prices for a small fee and buy tickets within a specified period, ranging from 4 hours to 15 days. The ‘Free Date Change’ feature also offers flexibility, allowing travelers to modify their flight date up to two hours before departure without hassle. With this latest addition to its suite of services, MakeMyTrip continues to reinforce its commitment to providing convenience and flexibility, making international travel more accessible for its customers.
