Noida Authority cracks down on encroachment and illegal constructions

Noida, 1 May ,2024 : Taking a stern stand against encroachment and illegal constructions, the Noida Authority has executed decisive actions to reclaim public land and maintain the sanctity of urban planning in the region. In a swift operation conducted on Wednesday, the Noida Authority dismantled encroachments at two strategic locations, sending a clear message to land mafias and unauthorized occupants. The crackdown targeted unlawful constructions plaguing the landscape, restoring order and integrity to the city’s urban fabric. One of the areas targeted for reclamation was Shramik Kunj-2, nestled in Sector-93 under Work Circle-8. Here, the Authority successfully removed illegal constructions spanning approximately 50 square meters. These unauthorized structures, erected by various flat holders, posed a significant threat to the planned development of the area.

The market value of the recovered land is estimated to be around Rs. 20 lakhs. Furthermore, in an operation conducted in Sector-147 under Work Circle-10, the Noida Authority, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, demolished encroachments behind Shiv Mandir. The encroacher had brazenly erected a bamboo pole on land earmarked for public use. By swiftly dismantling the encroachment, the Authority reclaimed approximately 1500 square meters of prime real estate. The market value of this land is estimated to be a staggering Rs. 3.00 crore, underscoring the significance of the operation in safeguarding public assets.
