Faridabad, 18th February 2025: Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) facilitated an enriching sport, cultural and academic exchange for over 50 students and faculty members from Havant and South Downs College (HSDC) and Park Community School (PCS) under the UK Government’s Turing Scheme, a prestigious international mobility grants programme initiated by the UK government.
The exchange featured a thoughtfully designed academic schedule incorporating interactive sessions, hands-on projects, and industry-relevant learning experiences. Participants engaged in discussions with subject matter experts, attended specialized workshops, and explored innovative solutions in these fields, ensuring a well-rounded and immersive educational experience. The program focused on providing domain-specific insights into sports, sustainability, environmental science, and culinary arts and a deeper appreciation of diverse cultural perspectives.
“Such initiatives play a vital role in expanding students’ academic horizons and preparing them for a globally connected world. Through this journey, we hope to broaden their perspectives, enhance their skills, and build lasting friendships,” said Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI. “At Manav Rachna, we are committed to creating transformative learning experiences that empower students with knowledge beyond textbooks,” he added.
Julio Carrillo, Turing Coordinator & Team Leader, HSDC said, “I am delighted to be a part of this enriching exchange program between MREI and our institution in the UK. The opportunity for our students and faculty to engage with the vibrant academic and cultural landscape of India is truly invaluable. I am impressed by the thoughtful design of the academic schedule, and I am confident that this experience will have a lasting impact on our students’ personal and professional growth.”
The exchange enabled students to engage in diverse learning environments, participate in practical workshops, and experience India’s vibrant heritage. By immersing themselves in new cultural and academic perspectives, participants developed skills that extended beyond their core subjects. This initiative built upon the success of last year’s exchange program, further reinforcing Manav Rachna’s commitment to nurturing global citizens through transformative education.
