Faridabad May 14 2026: Former MLA Neeraj Sharma has launched his sharpest attack yet on local leaders of the ruling BJP over the quagmire of corruption in the Faridabad Municipal Corporation. Calling the BJP leaders’ curses and rhetoric against officials at the Disha meeting on May 12th a mere gimmick, Sharma said that speaking against corruption from Faridabad’s most corrupt leaders is unbecoming.
He roared, “Where were those leaders who are now talking about the children of officials being infested with worms when a massive scam worth Rs 200 crore was being perpetrated in the Municipal Corporation right under their noses? Were these ministers and MLAs smeared with corruption at that time?”
Neeraj Sharma said that the leaders who are shedding crocodile tears over corruption today should not forget their past conduct. He said, “When this Brahmin (Neeraj Sharma) was scouring the streets barefoot against this corruption, these people in the corridors of power didn’t hear the public’s pain. Scams were overlooked because everyone had a share in the loot. Those who yesterday called my protests a charade are now acting out their own pretense of cursing officials in front of the cameras, a fact the people of Faridabad understand well.”
Neeraj Sharma directly exposed the personal relationships and corruption of senior BJP leaders, saying that their favorites took lavish trips to Bangkok and Singapore using the Municipal Corporation’s funds, and the public’s hard-earned money was squandered on debauchery.
He challenged these leaders, if they possessed even a shred of truth left in their conscience, to provide an affidavit stating that they and their triple-engine government were not involved in this plunder. Mr. Sharma sarcastically remarked that the public is witnessing how these leaders abuse and eat sweets with corrupt officials who have been jailed, while threatening to suspend honest officials.
Fire-firing questions, the former MLA asked whether BJP leaders have the courage to write to their own government and demand a CBI or ED investigation into this entire scam.
Neeraj Sharma, citing instances such as whose backing was behind the theft of the railway track from Pyali Chowk to the grain warehouse, which official altered the specifications of the peripheral road being built from Hardware Chowk and the passing of checks worth crores without signatures, said that the white-collar criminals who looted Faridabad have now been exposed. Neeraj Sharma categorically warned that these leaders, blinded by the lust for power like Dhritrashtra, will have to account for every penny in the public court in the future.
