Faridabad : Former MLA from NIT Faridabad, Neeraj Sharma, expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader, Shibu Soren. Remembering him as a strong pillar of Indian politics, Sharma described him as a symbol of struggle, simplicity, and dedication.
Neeraj Sharma said,
“Guruji was not just a politician, but the very soul of the Jharkhand movement. He devoted his entire life to achieving separate statehood for Jharkhand. Though he is no longer with us, his ideology and struggle will remain eternal.”
Sharing Personal Moments with Guruji
An emotional Neeraj Sharma also shared many personal experiences spent with Guruji. He recalled that during his time as OSD at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Ranchi, Guruji treated him like a son. He fondly remembered the homely lunches, onion fritters, and the simplicity of life in Ranchi, all of which now remain as cherished memories.
Narrating a special incident, Sharma said,
“During the Tamar by-election, when I resigned to focus completely on the campaign, Guruji said, ‘Son, you’re a big-built man, the IB report says there might be a cane bomb attack. If something happens to you, what will I tell your parents?’ Such concern is rare in today’s self-centered politics.”

Shibu Soren’s political journey spanned the Bihar and Jharkhand legislative assemblies, Lok Sabha, and Rajya Sabha. He was a powerful voice for tribal rights, environmental protection, and social justice. He was a true servant of the people, known for his humble lifestyle.
