Chandigarh, April 30, 2026: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met a delegation of the Dhanak community from various districts of Punjab at his official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, in Chandigarh.
During the meeting, the delegation invited the Chief Minister to attend a programme being organised in Punjab on June 30 to mark the birth anniversary of Sant Kabir Das, to be observed by the deprived Scheduled Caste community. The Chief Minister accepted the invitation and assured his participation in the event.]
The delegation also apprised the Chief Minister about various issues related to the welfare and development of the community. They highlighted their expectations regarding social upliftment, educational support, and better access to government welfare schemes.
Chief Minister Saini listened to the concerns and assured the delegation that the government remains committed to inclusive development and will take appropriate steps to address their demands in a phased and effective manner.
