Gohana, March 22 – Cooperation, Prisons, Elections, Heritage, and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma has said that the budget presented under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will help achieve new heights of development. This budget is a significant step toward development and welfare, ensuring the interests of farmers, the poor, youth, women, and all sections of society. He emphasized that Haryana will set an example for other states in the fields of cooperation and tourism.
On Saturday, Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma interacted with journalists at the Irrigation Rest House in Gohana regarding the budget presented by CM Nayab Singh Saini. Calling it a balanced and inclusive budget, he said it would be a milestone in infrastructure development, education, health, employment, and other sectors in the state. This budget will not only strengthen the state’s economy but also promote self-reliance.
Dr. Arvind Sharma highlighted that CM Nayab Singh Saini has allocated ₹2,05,017 crore, which is 13.7% more than last year, considering the needs of every section of society. He added that promoting natural farming and horticulture while taking strict action against counterfeit seed and pesticide sellers will strengthen farmers’ trust. Subsidies on harvesters for sugarcane farmers and interest-free loans of ₹1 lakh for women farmers to set up dairies will enhance self-reliance.
Expressing gratitude to CM Nayab Singh Saini, he mentioned the allocation of ₹5,000 crore in the budget for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, under which women will receive ₹2,100 per month. This scheme was a BJP election promise, fulfilled in the very first budget session. Furthermore, all MLAs have been allocated ₹5 crore each for development projects based on their demands.
The budget also includes scholarships for children of martyrs and paramilitary personnel:
₹60,000 annually for students from classes 6 to 12,
₹72,000 annually for diploma and undergraduate students,
₹96,000 annually for postgraduate students.
Major Boost for the Cooperation and Dairy Sector
Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma expressed gratitude to CM Nayab Singh Saini for increasing the Cooperation Department’s budget by 58.80% to ₹1,254.97 crore. Key initiatives include:
Establishing milk collection centers at every block level and chilling plants at district levels to boost milk collection by 15% in the next financial year.
Allocating ₹70 crore for the CM Milk Producer Incentive Scheme, ensuring timely milk payments.
Introducing a One-Time Settlement Scheme for farmers availing loans through PACS.
Allotting 350 new Vita booths across the state.
Advancing Haryana’s Tourism and Heritage
Tourism Minister Dr. Sharma announced plans to:
Hold the Surajkund International Fair twice a year with infrastructural development.
Develop Rakhigarhi into a world-class archaeological site and organize an annual Rakhigarhi Fair.
Establish the Haryana Sapta Sindhu-Saraswati Literature, Art, and Culture Public Trust with a ₹25 crore budget for developing the Saraswati River and Rakhigarhi Civilization.
Resume excavation at the Agroha Archaeological Site after four decades, starting March 25, with CM Nayab Singh Saini attending. The site will soon have a museum, interpretation center, light and sound show, and planetarium.
Infrastructure and Employment Initiatives
Minister Dr. Sharma stated that various departments would implement schemes in agriculture, sports, industry, education, health, and skill development in every district.
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Delhi will be allotted land at a concessional rate for a hospital in Gohana.
The Gohana-Sonipat Four-Lane Road project will be completed soon.
