New Delhi, March 13, 2025 : Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta celebrated the festival of Holi with children at Asha Kiran Home in Rohini, an institution run by the Social Welfare Department. Accompanied by Social Welfare Minister Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh, CM Gupta interacted with the children, distributed sweets, and reviewed the existing facilities at the home.
During the celebration, the Chief Minister emphasized that Holi symbolizes love, equality, and unity. She expressed her commitment to improving the living conditions at Asha Kiran Home, acknowledging that it currently accommodates children beyond its designated capacity. She assured that the government plans to relocate some children to alternative facilities and conduct surprise inspections to ensure better living conditions.
CM Rekha Gupta also instructed officials to conduct regular reviews, install recreational equipment, and plant trees in the park as per the children’s preferences. She personally inspected the kitchen facilities to assess the quality of food provided to the children
Addressing Delhi residents, CM Gupta urged everyone to celebrate Holi in an environmentally friendly and safe manner. Social Welfare Minister Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh affirmed that all concerned departments have been directed to carry out cleaning, whitewashing, renovations, and infrastructure improvements at Asha Kiran Home.
