New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that India’s achievements and successes have sparked a new wave of hope across the world. Speaking at an event organized by a private news channel in New Delhi, he emphasized that the global community acknowledges this as the “Era of India.” He highlighted that India is driving global growth and progressing rapidly on the path of development.
The Prime Minister asserted that today’s India thinks big, sets ambitious goals, and delivers remarkable results. He pointed out India’s strong performance in renewable energy, stating that the country is among the top five in solar energy capacity. He also highlighted the successful implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), through which an impressive 42 lakh crore rupees have been directly transferred into the accounts of beneficiaries. This, he noted, has played a significant role in streamlining welfare schemes and reducing corruption.
Mr. Modi underscored India’s strides in poverty alleviation, revealing that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. He attributed this success to various government initiatives, including financial inclusion, infrastructure development, and employment generation schemes. The Prime Minister reiterated that his government is committed to empowering every section of society and ensuring that India’s growth is inclusive and sustainable.
One of the key aspects of his address was his vision for political participation among the youth. Mr. Modi expressed his desire to bring one lakh young individuals into politics, specifically first-timers from their families. He emphasized the importance of fresh perspectives in governance and policymaking, stating that young leaders with no political lineage can contribute significantly to nation-building.
Furthermore, he highlighted India’s growing influence on the global stage, citing the country’s leadership in emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, and economic reforms. He mentioned India’s increasing role in global diplomacy and its proactive participation in international organizations. The Prime Minister noted that India’s G20 presidency was a testament to its rising stature and ability to shape global discussions.
In his speech, Mr. Modi also emphasized the role of women in India’s development story. He pointed out that schemes like Mudra Yojana and Start-up India have enabled millions of women to become entrepreneurs, fostering economic independence and societal progress.
